MOTORCYCLES
A total of 97,595 Motorcycles have been sold during the current
month - a growth of 18.7%.
The new Bajaj CT-100 has sold over 43,400 numbers in the current
month. This stylish product with a phenomenal fuel efficiency ( 101
kmpl under standard test conditions) launched in May 2004 has been
very well received in the market. With over 64,000 units sold in
first 58 days of launch (to 30th June, 04), the product is expected
to garner higher volumes in the coming months.
In the premium segment, the Pulsar twins recorded a sale of 23,515
in June 2004.
At 14.7% growth for April - June 04, Bajaj Motorcycles YoY growth
was significantly ahead of the industry growth rate of approximately
10%.
THREE WHEELERS
Sales of 3 Wheelers during the month was 21,750 numbers - growth of
16.3%.
EXPORTS
Exports for the month was 16,383 numbers as against 11,792 numbers
in June 2003 - an increase of 38.9%.
With exports of 50,025 units and a growth of 46.7% for April - June
04, Bajaj continues to be India's top exporter of motorcycles,
2-wheelers and 3 wheelers.
