MOTORCYCLES
A total of 87,663 Motorcycles have been sold during the current
month.
The new Bajaj CT-100 launched in May 2004 has sold over 20,700
numbers in the first month of launch. This product with class
leading features and a phenomenal fuel efficiency of 101 kmpl
(under standard test conditions) is priced at Rs. 31,490/-
ex-showroom.
In the executive segment over 21,500 motorcycles were sold
including 11,197 numbers of Wind 125.
In the premium segment, the Pulsar twins recorded a sale of 22,178
in May 2004.
THREE WHEELERS
Sales of 3 Wheelers during the month was 16,178 numbers.
EXPORTS
Exports for the month was 16,804 numbers as against 11,770 numbers
in May 2003 - an increase of 43%.
