MOTORCYCLES
Aided by growth in Executive & Premium segments - Bajaj recorded a sale of 84,170
motorcycles in February 04, a 10% growth over February 03.
In the premium segment the Bajaj Pulsar DTSi twins recorded 25,855 units sale, up 10% compared with the 23,429 units sold in February 2003.
In the executive segment the Bajaj Caliber 115 and the Bajaj Wind 125 together accounted for 15,643 units, up 28% compared with last February’s 12,193 units.
THREE WHEELERS
At 20,120 units, up 41% over February 03, demand for 3 wheelers continues to be strong, both in domestic and export markets.
EXPORTS
Exports for the month stood at 13,831 units as against 7,565 units in February 03 - growth of 83%.
Bajaj-Kawasaki export marketing initiative flagged off by launching Bajaj BYK, Caliber-115 and Wind-125 in the Philippines market on 3rd February 04 at Manila through KMPC (Kawasaki Motor Philippines Corporation).
