August 2005 was a record month for Bajaj sales in the
following respects:

Highest ever sales of the Bajaj Wave DTS-i at 7,300 units;
expected to reach 10,000 units by October'05.

Segment leading sales of almost 87,000 Bajaj CT100; capacity
constraints due to non-availability of tyres will be overcome by
October'05.

Second highest sales of the Bajaj Discover DTS-i at over 27,000
units; expected to reach 33,000 units in September'05 and 40,000
in October'05.

Highest ever sales of the Bajaj Pulsar DTS-i twins at over 33,000
units.
-
Highest ever sales of the Bajaj Avenger DTS-i at 2,300 units;
expected to reach 4,000 units by October'05.

Second highest sales of Bajaj motorcycles at almost 150,000
units.

Motorcycle and 2-wheeler sales grew .significantly higher than the
industry growth rate; motorcycle market share expected at
approximately 30%.

Sales of almost 23,000 3-wheelers driven by strong demand for the
Bajaj LPG and CNG 3-wheelers.

Second highest exports at almost 24,000 units owing to strong
demand from all major markets.

Highest ever 2- & 3-wheeler sales at almost 187,000 units.
