Bajaj motorcycle sales grew 32% - well ahead of the
estimated industry growth of 16%, taking Bajaj
motorcycle market share to an all time high of
approximately 33% in Jan. 2006.

Bajaj continues to lead the price segment with the Bajaj
CT 100.
|

Similarly the Bajaj Pulsar DTS-i twins and the Bajaj
Avenger DTS-i at 33,412 units (a growth of 37% over Jan.
2005), continue to lead the performance segment.

Bajaj recorded an estimated 23% market share of the
value segment owing to record sales of 58,083 units of
the Bajaj Discover twins. Their capacity is being
expanded to 75,000 units per month in response to the
overwhelming demand.

Bajaj will shortly launch an all-new motorcycle in the
value segment to further consolidate its position in
that segment.

With this Bajaj expects average monthly sales of 200,000
motorcycles from
Apr. 2006 onwards, and is expanding capacity to 250,000
motorcycles per month by then, in order to be in a
position to cater to the peak months.

7.
|
3-wheeler sales continue to be robust on the back of
continued preference for Bajaj 3-wheelers running on
alternate fuels.
