A degrowth of about 13% in the 100cc segment offset stable
sales in the 125cc + segment, resulting in an overall
degrowth of 10% for the motorcycle industry.

Aided by strong sales of the XCD, Discover, Avenger, and
Pulsar, Bajaj continued to dominate the growing 125 cc +
premium motorcycle segment with a market share of
approximately 50%.

Furthermore, motorcycle exports at 50,894 units have been
the highest ever. Bajaj expects exports to continue to
fuel growth, thus mitigating the currently lackluster
domestic market.

3-wheeler sales continue to suffer from poor domestic
demand; here too exports is expected to more than
compensate.
