4 | Job Responsibilities | Internal (within the organization) Financial Record-Keeping: - Maintain and update accounting records, prepare and process financial transactions and monitor cash flow and reconcile bank statements regularly.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare regular financial reports, analyze financial data, and provide insights to support management decisions. Ensure accuracy and timeliness of financial reports for internal and external stakeholders.
Budgeting and Forecasting: - Contribute to the development and improvement of financial systems and processes. Identify areas for automation and efficiency
- Collaborate with finance department of BAL, Company’s trust, and internal team members to provide financial information and support their activities
External – with partners, third party auditors, agencies etc. - Audit and Compliance: Prepare financial documentation for audits and liaise with auditors. Ensure compliance with local financial regulations, tax laws, and accounting standards. Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard organizational assets and prevent fraud.
- Manage financial aspects of grants /donations, ensuring compliance with donor regulations and reporting requirements. Prepare financial reports for the organization.

5 | Competency Requirements | Technical/ Functional: - Domain expertise: knowledge of required accounting norms.
- Proficiency with Microsoft excel, financial management software and spreadsheets (e.g., Tally ERP, Excel).
- Aware about the updated finance and account related programs
- Experience of managing grant approval process – specifically financial review
- Strong team player –also ‘self-starter’ able to work with minimal supervision
- Readiness to travel for engagement and supervision
- Design and run training programs on financial and accounting management.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and best practices.
