Kolkata, May 13, 2024: Following the exciting selection rounds in Coimbatore, Delhi, and Mumbai, with 650+ riders participating in KTM CUP Season 2, KTM India celebrated another super-successful round of racing in Kolkata. Renowned as the world's leading sports motorcycle brand, KTM concluded the KTM CUP S2 selection round, India's largest racing championship, in the City of Joy.
The East Zone selections, held at Eco Park, Kolkata, were a high-octane racing event that had incredibly talented riders engaging in gripping and fiercely competitive, riveting battles. All three categories—Pro, Amateur, and Women's divisions—saw nail-biting performances as the passionate riders extracted the best out of their KTM RC 390 motorcycles, embodying the ‘Ready to Race’ philosophy of brand KTM.
Around 100+ racers from different cities across the East Zone – Kolkata, Guwahati, Siliguri, Ranchi, and Patna participated in the action at Eco Park, Kolkata. The KTM CUP S2 will now progress to the Qualifying Round and then to the Grand Finale in Coimbatore on May 26th and 27th at the Kari Motor Speedway, Coimbatore.

The final three winners from each category of the KTM CUP S2 will win an exclusive chance to train with KTM instructors and former Grand Prix winners at the Red Bull Ring in Salzburg, Austria. One lucky winner will also get a chance to intern with PowerDrift.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Sumeet Narang, President (Probiking) at Bajaj Auto Ltd., said, “The KTM CUP Season 2 keeps getting bigger and better with each round of racing, and the East Zone selections are a testament to the fact. This round in Kolkata has been the most challenging selection round till date, with fierce competition across categories. We are excited that our endeavour to establish India’s biggest racing championship is bearing fruit, and the results are for all to see. From here it is on to the qualifiers and then the grand finale in Coimbatore, where the best among the racers will compete for respect, glory, bragging rights, and the final prize.”
Race Director for the KTM CUP S2 is former MotoGP racer Jeremy McWilliams, who secured two podiums in the 500cc class and a win in the 250cc class. Emmanuel Jebaraj, the creator of Gusto Racing, India, and a seven-time National INMRC Champion, serves as the competition's Race Expert.
