HONORING THE INDIAN COAST GUARD’S LEGACY

The 10-day expedition is a tribute to the unwavering dedication and valour of the Indian Coast Guard, the world’s fourth-largest Coast Guard, in safeguarding the nation's maritime boundaries. The rally passed through diverse terrains of Sri Ganganagar, Bikaner, Jaisalmer, Jodhpur, Udaipur, Vadodara, and Daman to showcase the Coast Guard's contribution to national security and the country’s maritime heritage. The Scrambler 400 X, renowned for its versatility and robust performance, is the perfect companion for the epic multi-terrain journey from Amritsar to Mumbai. Designed to excel both on rugged off-road trails and smooth urban streets, this capable touring motorcycle has ensured a safe, comfortable, and enjoyable ride for the brave men of the Indian Coast Guard.

A RALLY FOR THE LARGER GOOD!

Saddled on the Scrambler 400 X, the riders had an interactive session with students of MSM Sainik School, Sri Ganganagar, on January 23 to raise awareness about India’s maritime history and inspire the younger generation. On January 24, a session was held with students of Bikaner Boys School and residents of an elderly care home. A special Republic Day tribute was held on January 25 at an inspiring institution uplifting underprivileged girls in the Thar region. On January 28, the riders received a warm and grand welcome at the Udaipur City Palace, where Maharaj Kumar Sahib Dr. Lakshyaraj Singh Ji, Mewar of Udaipur—an esteemed educationist and philanthropist dedicated to public service—graciously hosted them. On January 29, the rally was flagged off from Udaipur to reach Kevadia, Gujarat. The Indian Coast Guard will conduct a tree plantation drive at the Statue of Unity on January 30, post which, the expedition will ride towards The Indian Coast Guard station in Daman.

Additionally, the rally also supported the government's Lifestyle for Environment (LiFE) initiatives such as the Fit India Movement, Beti Bachao Beti Padhao, and Swachh Bharat Abhiyan. The expedition provided a unique opportunity for the Coast Guard personnel to connect with people in rural and border regions, sharing a sense of pride in the country’s culture, values, and traditions.
